Re: Need help with shaded patterns on foam pumpkins

I'm with Doh on this one. I also knife the area I'm about to shade usually. Peel off that paper and then shade that area. This seems to keep the edges nice and neat also. But it does take longer. In fact, when I saw Doh's video for the first time, I felt so much better about how long it takes me. LO...

Re: How to carve a delicate piece

I like to use hot knife for some things. I think I saw this trick on here somewhere, but I used a little grinding wheel to shave off the back side of a hot knife blade. This makes it a lot easier in hard to reach places.

Re: Found the Best Bits (To Date) For Shading.

if you buy these from the link you provided, they won't get here until after Halloween and possibly not until December. Know any other places to get these quicker?

my one contribution

Haven't done many lately. Thought I would share this one. White Gemmy I bought at Michael's this year. It was done landscape, on it's side. I did add some black in a few places but hard to see in pic. I wish I did not use the black. I was also going to water color her hair blue and red to match actu...

Re: $11 for shipping?

Are you shipping the foam pumpkin next day shipping? When I ship something they weigh it, they don't measure it. I paid $115 for 5 last year and they want $407 for 10 this year. If you went back to the grocery store a year later and everything doubled in price you would starve. NOT to mention one of...

Not that this matters much with cell phones these days, but I think if you ever lose power/electric the relic landline phone will still work, your cordless phones will not.

Re: Jo-anns Sale! (updated w/ new sale/coupons -- 8/21)

Nope, you seemed all about them so I was just waiting for your review, but most likely won't buy them anyway. Will probably only ever buy from stoney's site, the nicest ones. But even those, I tried 3 of them, were a little inconsistent. I will pay $25 if it was made properly every time. It's still ...

Re: Jo-anns Sale! (updated w/ new sale/coupons -- 8/21)

Sales and great prices don't mean a thing if the pumpkins don't carve properly.
