Re: Where, How, and How Much?

I won't sell any of mine, I too want to be (am) known as the crazy pumpkin guy... I will carve (cut out only) for family and friends and normally charge a pumpkin. I tell them to pick the pattern and buy 2 pumpkins, one for their carve and one for payment!

It looks good! That's a complex pattern for your first try and you nailed it!

Re: Rich D - Dragon Eyes

Great job, Rich  Are they cut outs, or shaded patterns? I've done cut-outs, but haven't worked up the nerve to try a shaded design, yet. You know what would be neat? Hook them up to a motion sensor; then when somebody walks by, the eyes light up, out of nowhere. That would be awesome, LOL -Fr...

Re: Rich D - Dragon Eyes

Thanks everyone. Yes, I am using a red c-9 bulb to light them. I plan on mounting them above my fence in the back yard, so from the street all you'll see are eyes coming over the fence. Now I'm wondering what green would look like. I'll have to take another pick tonight and compare! The flaws in the...

Rich D - Dragon Eyes

I carved the Dragon Eye patterns this year. Actually, I started the left eye last year, then put it aside and finished it this year. I just finished the right eye tonight. There are some bad cuts on the left eye, so I'll probably re-do it after Halloween. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8186/811097922...

Re: Medium size Micheal's pumpkin - Dragon eyes

I followed those steps to make the Jareth pattern bigger, I was just hoping someone had a good % reduction for the smaller pumpkins. No problem, I'll just tinker with it a little. Thanks. Just Measure the pumpkin, and put that number in the program. ;) Print it out, if still too big, just bring it ...

Medium size Micheal's pumpkin - Dragon eyes

I have a couple medium size pumpkins that I normally just cut out a standard jack-ol-lantern pattern but then I saw the dragon eye patterns. I thought they would fit well on this size pumpkin. Before I start experimenting, does anyone have any tips on sizing the pattern for this size?

Thanks!
