These are awesome as usual. I thought about doing that porthole one and after seeing it carved, I'll have to give it a shot

Doh, your carves are out of this world amazing. I am so consistently impressed by your work. For smoothing the big areas like in Cat/Bat - I think I remember an oooold post where you said that's the one time you turn the Dremel speed down. Is that still good advice?

Depends on the bit. If I'm using something like a high speed cutter I turn the speed way down for smoothing. If I'm using a pink stone grinder I use medium to medium/high speed.

These carves are for our local pumpkin walk. I shaded them fully to help make them last the entire week of the walk.

Good call... I am a fan of just shading on the real kins that you need to last a while. And a pumpkin walk is something I would really love to put together where I live. But, I am highly anti social, so not likely to happen any time soon. How many pumpkins are usually in yours? You've knocked out some fantastic pumpkins this season!
