She looks superb, I think you & I were likely starting & finishing this pattern around the same time, twas quite a long day, I had to re-do her cos my first kin rotted out upon opening (a rarity) ..took me two hours to get my picture up, all the coloured leds I have & yet I never remember to stage a kin! :!con_p_Laugh2:

..glad yours will last longer than mine.

Thanks everybody! I pretty proud of this one. :!con_p_wink:

Gus, I did see yours yesterday as a matter of fact and it looks awesome! I just plopped her on the front porch table for display until Halloween. We always change out our porch lights, (it runs the length of our home and down one side) for Orange and Blue LED at Halloween, and Red, Green and Blue for Christmas. lol I got lucky show photographed as well as she did but the light inside really brought out the detail.

BUT, I have to say with yours, there is nothing like the natural glow or a real Kin.. LOVE LOVE LOVE how yours came out!!

I really need to do this on a funkin, may I enquire as to what brand, model & therefore size it is? I think all but one of mine are too small..

Yesterday was the first day in awhile I wasn't stepping round trugs full of water & pumpkins so I took a few better shots of carves since, today,...trugs are full, ..ah well! such is October life!

How long do you estimate it took to carve !? mine took way longer than necessary due to not knowing what lighting conditions it was going to be displayed in (yup, for someone else) whenever I do that I tend to really exaggerate (faff around) the carve lines for max light output, invariably taking 2 unnecessary hours longer to complete ....I'm a sucker! :!con_p_Laugh2:

Sure Gus! It was the 14 inch Funkin, purchased retail (Classic 8 I think is what they are called). And it took me about 4 days, 5 hours a pop, but that's because I use transfer paper and do a detailed transfer first, then I outline that pattern with a 1/32 bit and THEN start to cut. I find myself shaving the fine details out swipe by swipe with the bit to make sure that it works right and I don't end up losing and eyeball or something important. Probably takes me much longer than it should, but hey, it works for me. :!con_p_Laugh2:
