I found these round balls in the bin at Michaels today where the pumpkins were last week. They appear to have the same foam inside as the gemmys pumpkins. I don't know if they are hollow or how thick the foam is. If they are carvable I would be SO happy!
Anyone know anything about these?

I didn't buy any, but the larger size were $12 full price. I so much want to know if they are carvable though. Wouldn't it be awesome?? The tag said "celebrate it" the same as the pumpkins.

I can't wait! Oh I hope they are! I wasn't planning to buy anything, I just went in with my mother in law real quick. I didn't have my wallet with me to buy them. I forced her to take a picture with her camera phone and send it to me so I could show you guys though.

thank you so much for checking these out and letting us know. I'm SO excited that they are carvable, but I second Marilyn. Why do they have to have the criss cross black lines?! Wah! Maybe they'll get rid of them like they did the pumpkins. Sigh.

Just got home from work and read this thread. Looney, could you put a light inside and see if the black line shows through? I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. Might have to back to sanding out the line BUT it will be great to have something else to carve after fall is over.
