Okay First Really Sorry, I should Have Caught this Earlier
Guess I was Just really excited to see these, It's really a Great Idea.

When I make a Pumpkin Pattern I make it a Negative Image.
Because when you Place a Light inside the pumpkin The Negative Carve becomes a Positive Image.

When "Painting" these Patterns on anything, you need to turn the Pattern back into a Positive Image, then Blow Up and Paint, this will mean you need to paint (3) Color not (2)

The way to turn the Image Back into a Positive, is most Graphic Programs have a Negative
Option, (if you start with a Negative - it does the reverse Makes it a Positive.

Lets Take Old Norman Psycho Brains as an Example:

Here's Yours - which is a Negative Image.
Image
Now if we Take the Same Pattern Image- Place it in our graphic Program
We can turn it into a Positive Image.

Image

Now to save on Printer Ink, you can still Print it as a Negative.
But Paint it as a Positive.

This means the colors on the Pattern Just need to be changed when painting.
Just Inside the Pattern Area. (not the Outside White.)

White - is Painted BLACK
Gray - is Painted GRAY
Black - is Painted WHITE

Thanks St0ney! I never thought about this either. I was just trying to stay true to the pattern as best I could. I will do it this way from now on, except for Freddy Krueger. I've got him almost done. I'll finish him up tomorrow.

Thanks for that last bit. It will save a lot of ink, because I already have the patterns I want to use printed.
Thanks for your time and thoughts on this especially since it's not really Pumpkin carving.

It doesn't matter that it's not a pumpkin. There's a lot of other stuff people are carving, windowkins, eggs, melons, etc. It's about being creative in the use of the patterns. It's cool that you came up with something new and shared it with us. When the season is over and there are no more pumpkins, we all have ideas to keep us busy until the season comes around again. Keep up the great work. I think it's cool.

grinner I have one Last tip. Same as above, but will help if you get confused
with the paint Colors, as your painting.

I Also Changed the Colors Above to Match the Actual Pattern.
(Instead of using the The Colors you used or how you used them)

I would Print Out the below Graphic, this will help when painting.
Sometimes it gets confusing, when Seeing one thing and Painting it different colors.

Grinner, after halloween last year, I went searching online to find tombstones. I found them, but they are kinda expensive.

Your idea (and St0ney's help) just simply rocks!!! I hope you don't mind if I steal your idea??? I'm working to make stuff to put up each halloween and your tombstone ideas are so very good! I won't be able to do this for 2010, but say, if I were to work on them through the winter, then by golly next halloween should be quite a show in my yard!!!

I'm very addicted to SCARY halloweens! my biggest exception is to add some Snoopy Great Pumpkin stuff. I'm old, had my kids and all that. Now all stops are off!! SCARY! Yes!
