...if you have the right setup. I mounted my new adjustable speed drill to the wood top of my workbench using grabber screws and some metal plumbers tape.  I then attached my trusty extension rod and stripper wheel.  I dropped my handy dandy led light into the pumpkin.  Plugged in the drill, shut off the overhead light, slid the pumpkin over the stripper wheel and in no time at all I had no lines. Best of all you can control it with both hands and you only take off what you need to because you are looking through the skin of the kin the whole time. This works like a charm!
I bought two "New" gemmy's yesterday and had all the lines removed in one of them in 5 to 10 minutes. I didn't get video because I was alone.
Now...about those new Gemmy's...THEY SUCK! I got the lines removed ok but the paint is terrible and inconsistent. I actually used my Krylon pumpkin orange paint and went over the whole kin. We will see how that carves this weekend.

I was surprised when I saw the picture of the paint stripper used. Did you change it? I got the one with the wire bristles. I thought that was what you were using. The one pictured above looks like it would give much smoother results. I'm not sure if I misunderstood in the beginning or did you change tools.

To my knowledge...I have never recommended using a wire brush wheel! I tried it once in about 2003 and it was horrific! Well I'm heading out today to get the right one. No wonder I wasn't able to get my black line smooth.. I looked back at the old posts and can't figure out where I got the idea to buy the wire one. Oh well, live and learn.
