Here are my latest tombstones. First up is Frankenstein's Monster.

Of course he needs his bride.

Also just a couple of tips if anyone decides to create their own tombstones

1. Use a flat paint (not glossy) to paint the tombstones. I used gray primer. (If you use two different brands and paint a solid layer first and use another one to give a hurried 2nd coat you can get a good marbled look)(This doesn't show up well in pics)

2. Paint pens are your friends when painting (especially letters). For the smaller letters I use Hobby Lobby's Tree House Studio fine tip paint marker. It has a plastic tip and won't wear out and makes really crisp lines.

Thanks for looking grinner

Grinner - these are Looking SO Fab - Lovin em ALL !

I was just thinking out loud - no-ones home so I can do that without looking crazy.

Anyway - You Know what Could Be a Totally Cool Effect.
And no not saying for you to go out and buy or switch gears.

Again Just thinking Out Loud.
But it would be cool to buy Glow in the dark Paint, Both Red and Yellow.
The Kind that Glows with a Black Long Tube Light.

The Painting Would Match what a Mock Looks Like.
And the Wood could be painted Black, Just Outlining the shape of the Tombstones
with the Yellow Glow Paint.

Those would Be Extreme

It's so funny that you mentioned the glow in the dark paint. I was telling my hubby that it would be interesting to paint that see through glow in the dark paint on the pictures. I might have to talk my hubby into making me a larger pumpkin cutout and trying your idea with the I Can See You Pattern you made this year. I think that pattern is absolutely wicked!

(This movie has given me nightmares since I was a little girl and my brothers and sister forced me to watch it.)

These are the last for this year. I'm working on something a little different now.

I don't know how I missed these last posts --- but I did . These tombstones are fantastic !!
The Norman Bates is outstanding. I like the new style and the colorized ones look just like the mocks.
Lookin good ! ~~~ Keep on keepin on. I too have found if I paint a pumpkin I use flat primer. The reflection or glare off glossy paint takes away from the patern.
Superb work !!

Thanks for the compliment. I think when I get started this next year, I will redo the old tombstones in the new style and then I will do all my future tombstones in the black style because they will POP with a black light on them.
