Yep. I paint them prior to carving. This was a copper metallic. I let it cure too long on the "Phillilps" carve and the paint was TOUGH.

So....THIS was my Everest this season... I friend wanted this for her husband. I thought they'd just vacationed there or something. After showing her the pics, though, she informed me that her husband is the customer care manager...YIKES! I'm glad she waited to share that tidbit..there was enough pressure as is.

I hate to see this one go because I could literally stare at it for hours.
