So my wife and I finally bought our first house I lost my garage because we bought a condo. I'm having carving withdrawals big time (especially after lurking in here for a while and seeing what everyone has been up to lately)

So im heading to Michaels today, picking up some hand tools and going to take a crack and some realkins this weekend and next weekend and going to hope for the best.

I've only shaded one real pumpkin ever and it was with my dremel and I wasn't very happy with it, but I'm determined damnit!

Fingers crossed and stay tuned!
Glad to be back!

Congrats on the new home! But I also feel your pain -- for years I had a big garage, plus a dedicated pumpkin/craft workshop (100 sf outbuilding with electric & A/C, and wired for sound). I got really spoiled by it! We are now in a condo, too (6 years and counting, ARGH) and my kitchen sink seems to be my pumpkin shop now. :!con_p_roll_eyes:

I mostly work with real pumpkins and I still manage to turn out some decent carves indoors. It's just a little frustrating to have the pumpkin splatter in our living space, but it's easier to clean up in the kitchen. Good luck!

I feel for you Matt. But, you will do just fine on real kins! And at least you'll get to curb that withdrawal! :!con_p_wink:

Didn't waste any time today. Went to Michaels and bought some hand tools, went and got some somewhat decent pumpkins and bought a new batch of credits. Went with something easy.

The shakes of withdrawals have subsided for tonight. Lol.

Great simple design Stoney!

You may not get to carve much but you do get to drive the choo-choo!

Nice to see your 2015 cherry popped / itch scratched etc..

Is the carve from here? ..love it's simplicity yet clear nod to traditional pumpkin faces.
