Yup, that belonged to a guy in Oslo, where electric vehicle uptake is high, due to weather crashed vehicles commonplace so an entire set of batteries from an EV around 2000 euro , he used the software & computer server racks for mounting, connected to his solar array, then he fitted some into his boat & has gone off for a grand tour..

Cheaper than power walls from tesla

A small solar inverter turned up today SMA SunnyBoy 1200 for a smaller string it's going to sit & gather dust a while but every item is a step closer to Solar power in the household, dissecting a uk govt release the other day, I think uk energy prices are going to skyrocket likely double tariff , possibly triple in just a few years, in part because of pressure by the privatised energy companies "big 6" & foisting unwarranted blame on electric vehicles & the stifling of smaller projects funded by communities (we've had villages buy their own wind turbines (2 MegaWatt etc) ..the big companies don't like it.

In essence what has happened in Nevada may just happen over here, we wait with baited breath, however if you have kids / care about the environment why wouldn't you want to try & reduce your carbon footprint & be less energy dependent? ...there is no "planet B" we can hop onto!

Just bought a heat pump (ashp) tumble drier to knock back our excessive energy use drying clothes, the actual big one should arrive shortly, & likely knock 2-4000 kilowatt hours off our yearly home heating costs, its a big chunk to pare back annually but I think its realistic, if so it will reduce our atypical 12.500 kWh useage significantly, ..aiming high!

Just by fitting LED lighting the lighting load has been slashed to a fifth of it's load a few years ago.
